We (that would be Kyle and myself) were sick of searching for t-shirts that weren’t adorned with some stupid phrase or some company’s brand. We’re also not dropping $30 a piece for some “premium” name brand shirt so can we can be samezies with every dude in the neighborhood. Thusly, we decided to design and print our own shirts. We quickly learned that the minimum print quantity was 12 so we printed 12 at a time. Our first batches cost us $12-13 each for a total of about $150-$160. Then we decided to hustle our friends (that’s you) for $13 a piece for the leftovers to cover our costs. Being the sweet smelling, fast talking sales geniuses that were are, we sold them briskly. You could say that business is brisk and we have nice shirts we love. We’ve yet to make a profit but we now have several awesome tees and only paid $12 a piece for them. Given that all we do is blow our venture capital on parties and don’t make a profit I guess that makes us a startup. We’re going places man. 🙂
So what’s the future look like for Teely?
It looks like a whole closet full of amazing tees we love for ourselves and our friends. Cheers!
Teely operates out of a garage in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have 2 employees and a simple purpose, to make great t-shirts for our little group of tee-loving humans (that’s you!). We love great t-shirts and we’re always testing blanks, designing cool tees, and experimenting with local print shops and suppliers. Our goal is to be your goto t-shirt dealer :). If you think we can do anything better or have designs or ideas for our community, we’d love to hear about it. Drop us a note.
